ISO9001 & ISO14001

Our ISO UKAS accreditations are registered with the Peers Quality Assurance Limited and audited on an annual basis. PQAL strive to ensure the highest possible customer service and satisfaction, whilst also having complete compliance with the Accreditation Bodies.

Our ISO 9001 accreditation deals with the fundamentals of Quality Management Systems which enables us to implement, develop and improve our own business management systems.

ISO 14001 sets out the framework for an environmental management system within our business, this gives assurance to our stakeholders that our environmental impacts are measured and consistently improved. Our impact on the environment is reduced with the use of natural resources, handling and treatment of waste, and energy consumption.

Considerate Constructors

Encon carefully consider the communities around construction

Encon Construction register all projects with the Considerate Constructors Scheme. The scheme is concerned about any area of construction activity that may have a direct or indirect impact on the image of the industry as a whole. The main areas of concern fall into three categories: the general public, the workforce and the environment. We have received performance beyond compliance and excellence awards for many of our sites, and continue to work at achieving this on all sites.

All our sites registered with the Scheme are monitored against an 5 point Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage performance beyond statutory requirements. The Code consists of the following sections: Environment, Appearance, Safety, Workforce and Community.

Working Well Together Members

Working Well Together (WWT) was set up in 1998 by the Construction Industry Advisory Committee (CONIAC) which recognised the construction industry itself needed to do more to improve its health and safety performance – particularly among the smaller construction businesses.

WWT was set up as a joint industry/HSE initiative to help do this and this is reflected in our motto – ‘help from the industry for the industry’.
WWT provides relevant health and safety messages and information to the workforce directly through a number of ways, such as the WWT White Van Tours/Roadshows that visit building sites within a given area, allowing the workers to receive these messages and information without having leaving their site.
