Encon undertook the design and construction of the UK’s largest independent builders – MKM Building Supplies Centre.

Construction works consisted of a 2,000m2 builders merchant unit, which includes offices, canteen, product showroom, second floor mezzanine and warehouse, associated car parking, access road and S278 works, external works, services and infrastructure improvements.

The scheme was built to BREEAM Excellent and to a high specification including three types of cladding – steel frame and built up cladding system consisting of both vertical and horizontal cladding panels. The project achieved CCS Certificate of Excellence.

This project was constructed in collaboration with our client Legal and General; and the project team C4 Projects Limited, ADS Structural Limited and Amroc.
