Our Swindon industrial project, saw constructing of a steel framed factory extension for our client, Strandfoam UK at the former Honda Factory, Hunts Rise, Swindon. Works included the adaption of the existing factory space to facilitate Strandfoams’ process equipment and foam manufacturing plant.
Civil and structural engineering aspects of this project included the formation of an RC pit within the warehouse to house the chemical tanks, demolition of the old storage building to allow for the introduction of an over-head travelling crane, and large internal partition walls.
Adaption works consists of:
• a new bunded tank farm.
• a new external canopy.
• fire rated partitioning in both jumbo stud and blockwork.
• a new entrance ramp.
The project was constructed in partnership with our client, Strandfoam UK and the project team – Inspire Architects and Craddys. Alongside the support from our supply chain Shufflebottom Limited, Ben Massey Facades, Leomat and Concrete Structures & Floors.
