At the base of Pen y Fan in Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons), the project provided a new and improved arrival area, giving visitors access to safe facilities away from the busy A470 road.
Around 250 vehicle spaces including disabled spaces and electrical charging spaces were provided alongside provision for minibuses, coaches, motorbikes and cyclists. The new visitor facilities include zero discharge compost toilets with disabled access, a changing places toilet, and baby changing facilities. Improvements to signage, footpaths and information also allows walkers to better plan their day.
