We were delighted to welcome The Lighthouse Charity and the MakeItVisible team to our Former St John’s College site in partnership with our client Cardiff Community Housing Association last week as part of their nationwide campaign to raise awareness of wellbeing across the construction industry.
Andy Bishop and Sam Wilson shared powerful and deeply personal stories about the challenges they have faced, delivering an honest and thought-provoking message that resonated with everyone in attendance. Their openness reminded us that looking after our mental, physical and financial wellbeing is just as important as maintaining a safe working environment. The session sparked important conversations across the site and reinforced a simple but vital message: it’s okay not to be okay, and support is always available.
We are proud to partner with The Lighthouse Charity, whose dedicated team provides free and confidential 24/7 support to construction workers and their families across the UK and Ireland, covering emotional, physical and financial wellbeing.
